京都御所現代美術館

「京都御所」「京都御苑」の境界の”イノベーション”

御苑の外側には京都の街並みが広がり、内側には整備された緑地公園と天皇、貴族の住処が残されている。

昔の御苑は今のような石垣で囲われたものではなく、まちとまちが隣り合わせになっていた。

まちとまちはもっと”密接”に繋がっていた。

天皇と貴族の存在が「工芸、芸能、美術」を高め、そして今も京都の伝統を支え続けている。

隣りのまちに天皇、貴族が住んでいた

京都の人々の身体的な感覚

京都感、御所感なるものを生み出したい

Outside the Imperial garden are each other clamor in all activities urban.
Inside the Imperial garden are flowing the nothingness time

But now Kyoto Imperial Palace of the Emperor absence have lost the function as the Imperial Palace.

And Kyoto which had walked with the Emperor have become empty shell.
I want to rebuild the atmosphere of Imperial Palace that was wiped out.

When the Boundary which continued move was stoped ,and starts to begin swaying again.
Imperial Palace will unleashed into the city as an afterimage of amplitude .

A beating boundary is driven into the ground by its weight.

A floating wedge become the dice linked space ambiguously.

Wedge is not visible to the eye.

Can not be perceive the movement.

When the die overlap, wedge unleashed

Throwing void become the foundation to build a new relationship between city and Imperial Palace.

I want this architecture complement the function of the State Guest House for the Imperial Palace,
bring richness permanent in everyday life for the city.
